Peace seeking rituals in Iranian folklore culture, which constitute an important part of the country’s folklore and cultural heritage, play a significant role in maintaining social peace and addressing conflicts. Rooted in the beliefs, symbols, and traditional practices of Iranian communities, these rituals are often performed with the aim of reconciliation, repairing social relations, and strengthening collective solidarity. The central question of this article is how the rituals and cultural practices of the Iranian people contribute, at the level of everyday life, to the reproduction and reinforcement of social peace. The theoretical framework of the study is grounded in the concept of everyday peace, which seeks to understand peace not merely at the level of political structures but within the daily practices, rituals, and interactions of ordinary people. The study adopts a qualitative approach based on descriptive analysis with an ethnographic orientation. Data were collected from sources on Iranian folklore, particularly the Treasure of Iranian Folklore, as well as selected anthropological studies. The findings indicate that practices such as seeking forgiveness (halāliyat talabi), collective mediation, reconciliation oaths, the recitation of salavāt during disputes, and certain Nowruz rituals function as cultural mechanisms for repairing relationships, reducing tensions, and reinforcing social cohesion.
